Best starred and gourmet restaurants in Deauville
1. Restaurant L’Essentiel
Located in the center of Deauville, just a few steps from the port, Restaurant L’Essentiel hides its luminous glass roof behind a leafy terrace. We enjoyed tasting the refined recipes meticulously concocted by Frenchman Charles Thuillant and Korean Mi-Ra. The 2 chefs delightfully combine local Normandy produce with Asian influences.
Fresh, local produce is rigorously selected, and the combinations carefully crafted. L’Essentiel, certainly one of Deauville’s finest addresses, is a true masterpiece.

Restaurant La Belle Époque is the gastronomic meeting place of theHôtel Le Normandy. We loved the elegant dining room with its magnificent mosaic floors and light-filled veranda, in the hotel’s legendary Anglo-Norman setting.
La Belle Époque is considered one of Deauville’s finest restaurants. Chef Christophe Bezannier offers a traditional cuisine featuring local Normandy produce. The menu is as if concentrated, reduced to the essential: the product.
To cut a long story short, you’ll find tasty, creative cuisine in a hushed, discreetly luxurious atmosphere, all with a hint of Normandy. The names of the Normandy villages scattered across the map bear witness to this: Pré d’Auge, Yvetot, Isigny…

An iconic address in Deauville, Brasserie Le Drakkar ‘s decor reflects the town’s equestrian identity. Above the leather banquettes, paintings and equestrian engravings set the tone. It’s chic and warm, with a touch of England about it. We love it.
When it comes to cuisine, at Le Drakkar you’ll find all that’s authentic and delicious about the traditional brasserie, in a version where elegance rhymes with quality. The cuisine is bistronomic. You’ll find French specialties like steak tartare and foie gras, as well as influences from elsewhere, such as poke bowls and Indian-style curry and tandoori recipes.
