Restaurant La Rapi\u00e8re<\/h3>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Nestled in a small alley in Old Bayeux, the <strong>restaurant La Rapi\u00e8re <\/strong>seduced us from every point of view. First, its history: run by a charming couple, Linda in the dining room and Simon in the kitchen, who have been bringing this <strong>excellent restaurant<\/strong> to life <strong>in the ancient medieval town<\/strong> of Bayeux since 2009.<\/p>\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/photos.smugmug.com\/photos\/i-gfrkftJ\/0\/e0eec358\/L\/i-gfrkftJ-L.jpg\" alt=\"Alley leading to the restaurant La Rapi&#xE8;re in Bayeux\"\/><\/figure>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Then, we particularly liked the setting. The stone walls and the intimate atmosphere of the place in a small alley in the historic heart would almost take us back in time.<\/p>\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/photos.smugmug.com\/photos\/i-rCV5mGJ\/0\/7215a28e\/L\/i-rCV5mGJ-L.jpg\" alt=\"French pork ramen at La Rapi&#xE8;re restaurant in Bayeux\" width=\"702\" height=\"526\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Shapes, textures and colors that make the dish a true work of art<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Finally, 3 menus in 4 times, each more gourmet than the other, alternate local specialties and inspiration from here and elsewhere:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>the d&#8217;Artagnan menu,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>the Atos, Portos and Aramis menu,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>and the vegetarian menu.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As you may have guessed, the name of the restaurant refers to the rapiers of the 3 musketeers, long and thin swords with a flexible blade.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The menu puts the sea in the spotlight. It is mainly composed of regional products, with some unavoidable Norman specialties. Breton curry, French pork ramen, wasabi, sesame or roasted cashew nuts&#8230; A touch of creativity invites us to travel and punctuates certain dishes to amplify the flavors.<\/p>\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/photos.smugmug.com\/photos\/i-5jksMd6\/0\/6a30d055\/L\/i-5jksMd6-L.jpg\" alt=\"Dessert at La Rapi&#xE8;re restaurant in Bayeux\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">We fell for the passion fruit, mango and vanilla cream cabbage<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The dishes were succulent, worked, combining creativity and tradition, with some Norman, Asian or Italian notes in the plate.
