<sup>19th<\/sup> century. Between berg\u00e8res, sofas, pedestal tables, fireplaces&#8230;the living rooms are an invitation to <strong>discussion<\/strong> and <strong>relaxation<\/strong>.  <\/p>\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/photos.smugmug.com\/Normandie-Lovers\/Mont-saint-michel\/Chateau-Ballue\/i-cNZxh5R\/1\/16819185\/L\/Chateau_ballue_interieur-04-L.jpg\" alt=\"Hotel Ch&#xE2;teau de la Ballue - view of the salons with empire furniture\"\/><\/figure>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We particularly like the<strong> dark tones of<\/strong> the living room walls that enhance the colors of the <strong>upholstery <\/strong>and rugs.<\/p>\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/photos.smugmug.com\/Normandie-Lovers\/Mont-saint-michel\/Chateau-Ballue\/i-5M6xkqG\/1\/85c548c2\/L\/Chateau_ballue_interieur-05-L.jpg\" alt=\"Hotel Ch&#xE2;teau de la Ballue - berg&#xE8;res, chairs and sofa around a low trunk table.\"\/><\/figure>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The rather <strong>mineral and austere <\/strong>atmosphere of the castle stands out at certain moments. This is the case, for example, in the staircase that leads to the rooms, made of granite and a beautiful wooden banister, reminding us that we are in a place built in the <sup>17th<\/sup> century.<\/p>\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/photos.smugmug.com\/Normandie-Lovers\/Mont-saint-michel\/Chateau-Ballue\/i-kVH7gQb\/1\/ca8eed3d\/L\/Chateau_ballue_interieur-13-L.jpg\" alt=\"Hotel Ch&#xE2;teau de la Ballue - granite staircase with a high window and a beautiful wooden railing\"\/><\/figure>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The <strong>woodwork in the buffet room<\/strong> is a special touch and contributes to the warm and cosy atmosphere of the place.<\/p>\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/photos.smugmug.com\/Normandie-Lovers\/Mont-saint-michel\/Chateau-Ballue\/i-7tHRjVt\/1\/2e5fad36\/L\/Chateau_ballue_interieur-10-L.jpg\" alt=\"Hotel Ch&#xE2;teau de la Ballue - ceiling encased in wood in the buffet room\"\/><\/figure>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The rooms are all over 30<sup>m2<\/sup>, with 4 meters under the ceiling!
