Luxury hotels in Mont Saint Michel: options<\/h2>\n\n

To begin with, we will burst your bubble.There are no luxury hotels on the mountain itself. It is a very old village on a rock, so the houses are crooked, small and with limited facilities. It is therefore impossible to meet the requirements of a 4 or 5 star hotel in these old buildings.That’s why the place is fascinating to visit<\/a>!<\/p>\n\n

But don’t worry, we have grouped here all the options to consider around the Mont-Saint-Michel according to what is most important to you:<\/p>\n\n

Option 1 – 5 stars in the village<\/strong>If you want to choose a place not too far away but at a 5 star level: choose the hotel L’Ermitage, one of the smallest 5 star hotels in Europe – See the availability of suites<\/a><\/p>\n\n

Option 2 – the 4-star La Caserne<\/strong>If you want to park your car and stay put and still have some luxury, there are two 4 star hotels in the area called the Barracks. These hotels are more traditional but with more luxury than on the mountain.Access to the mountain is easy: the shuttle bus stops nearby and takes you to the mountain, or you can walk the 20min with a magnificent view all along.Between the 2, our preference is for the Mercure hotel – see price, pictures and availability<\/a><\/p>\n\n

Option 3 – castles in the countryside<\/strong>If, like us, you like elegant residences, there are several castles in the countryside around the bay of Mont-Saint-Michel: historical residences surrounded by nature: a nice way to complete a visit of the mount.Driving time to Mount: 30 to 45minFor example, we loved the castle of La Ballue with its beautiful gardens – see availability<\/a><\/p>\n\n
