Who knows Honfleur<\/strong>, knows the place Sainte Catherine<\/strong>, its beautiful wooden church and its traditional Norman buildings. It is in one of them that the hotel Les Maisons de L\u00e9a<\/strong> and itsrestaurant Le Tourbillon<\/strong> are located.<\/p>\n\n

But here, rest assured, no agitation, a hushed<\/strong> atmosphere, a cosy<\/strong> decoration, a cuisine respectful of<\/strong> the noble products of the soil… <\/p>\n\n

In this article, I’ll take a look at the pictures<\/strong> of this dinner, in this restaurant where we felt really well sheltered from the crowd and the bell tower of Saint Catherine.<\/p>\n\n

The choice of restaurants in Honfleur is quite vast<\/a>, but so are the opportunities to fall in the wrong place, the risk in any tourist town. <\/p>\n\n

By choosing the Tourbillon<\/strong>, you take the decision to move away from the famous and touristy Honfleur basin to the beautiful Place Sainte Catherine <\/strong>and its wooden church, so bewitching.<\/p>\n\n

The beautiful building that houses the restaurant<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n

Sheltered from the crowd, you will take place in an old Norman building<\/strong> of more than 400 years! It is in fact a salt storehouse <\/strong>and 2 houses of the XVIth<\/strong> united in a single building, whose first floor was occupied for several decades by hallettes<\/strong> (food halls open on the square). <\/p>\n\n

Bought in 2003 by L\u00e9a Lassarat, she transformed, with her husband, the mythical Hostellerie Lechat, into a beautiful hotel and restaurant<\/strong>, Les Maisons de L\u00e9a, with a really cosy<\/strong> setting. It must be said that she presided for several years over the destiny of a well known French decoration brand<\/strong>, Interior’s, that could help!<\/p>\n\n

The warm and cosy atmosphere of the Tourbillon<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n

But the frame is not everything, it is time to look at the plate. Here too there is no lack of taste, the quality local products<\/strong> are cooked with precision<\/strong> and we do not refrain from small gourmet touches <\/strong>to brighten the whole.<\/p>\n\n

The selection of wines is coherent<\/strong>, without extravagance, with well established appellations<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n
