Yes, visiting Caen in winter is definitely worth it. We particularly appreciate this city for its remarkable cultural density: the Caen Memorial<\/a><\/strong>the Ch\u00e2teau de Caen<\/strong>, the two abbeys founded by William the Conqueror and his wife, the museums… We’ve even found winter to be an ideal time to appreciate these places at their true value, without the pressure of the high season. You’ll enjoy the monuments in a quieter atmosphere, and the queues are much shorter. Neighborhood life, especially around the Vaugueux<\/strong> and the marina<\/strong>, remains lively and friendly even in cold weather.<\/p>\n\n
