Das Geb\u00e4ude wurde 1879 als &#8222;historisches Monument&#8220; klassifiziert und mehrere Historiker und Arch\u00e4ologen haben sich mit der Geschichte und der Architektur dieses Monuments befasst.  <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Die Kirche Sainte Catherine befindet sich im gleichnamigen Einkaufsviertel in Honfleur in der Normandie, das jedes Jahr fast 5 Millionen Touristen empf\u00e4ngt. Ein Muss f\u00fcr jeden Besucher der Region!<\/p>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Ein wenig Geschichte<\/h3>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Die Kirche von Honfleur, die w\u00e4hrend des Hundertj\u00e4hrigen Krieges zerst\u00f6rt wurde, war urspr\u00fcnglich aus Stein gebaut und wurde im 15. Jahrhundert auf dem Place Sainte Catherine von Seearbeitern, auch &#8222;gens de mer&#8220; genannt, wieder aufgebaut. Dies ist auch der Grund f\u00fcr die architektonische Einzigartigkeit des Ortes, wenn Sie den Kopf heben.  <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Sowohl innen als auch au\u00dfen ist diese Kirche wie eine Markthalle gebaut, deren Decke an einen umgedrehten Schiffsrumpf erinnert. Der Aufschwung der umliegenden St\u00e4dte f\u00f6rderte den Zustrom von Gemeindemitgliedern in die Kirche der Heiligen Katharina. So bilden die beiden Schiffe der St. Katharinenkirche zusammen zwei gro\u00dfe Schiffe, die einer Markthalle \u00e4hneln.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Holzkunst, die die Kirche St. Catherine schm\u00fcckt<\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Das Holz, das als Rohstoff f\u00fcr den Bau der Kirche Sainte Catherine verwendet wurde, stammt aus dem Wald von Touques, dem heutigen Bois Saint-Gatien. Dieser Wald befindet sich im D\u00e9partement Calvados in der Normandie. Erinnern Sie sich, dass es Schiffszimmerleute waren, die die St. Katharinen Kirche bauten.
